After a LONG hiatus from writing, I’m starting to get back into the groove! I wanted to take a look back on what I’ve accomplished so far. I’m not a pro by all means, but writing brings me joy. As a child, I was often told I had a wild imagination. Being an only child, I spent my time making up stories inside my head and playing them out. Little did I know then that I would eventually start writing them down and making a dream come true.
I’ve come a long way in the 13 years I’ve been learning the craft of writing. I have a long way to go but let’s just say I have WAY more confidence in what I do now. Which is a good thing because as a writer, readers and the general public will always have opinions. I know not every book I write will appeal to everyone. That’s okay. But I do believe that it’s my job to write the stories that come to me because I feel I’ve been given the storylines for a reason.
Romance is my chosen genre. Yes, I have the ability to write in many subgenres and for me that is exciting! I’m not limited to one thing. I can explore and learn from the public. I see the beauty in the little things. I see the beauty in people, even when they can’t see it within themselves. It’s my hope to show the world that all of us have a story to tell. Good or bad, there are lessons to be learned. Examples to be made. And people to inspire!
My writing style has developed over the years, and I feel I’ve finally found my writing voice and style. You can definitely see a difference between my first novel, Hearts Desire, and my last published book, Beyond Judgement. As with anything, practice makes perfect! I don’t think perfect writing exists, but we can at least say it has developed and improved.
With that being said, here is an update on me and what’s to come the year 2023!
I had hoped to get two books published last year. The key word there was “hoped.” Life and finances got in the way, and I was unable to complete that. However, I’m hoping that I can get them published this year!

Being a self-published author, I have to pay out of pocket for everything. Also being a stay-at-home mom brings challenges for time to write when the boys are home. It’s a constant balancing act!
